Introducing Steel Shape Database, the quick, easy, and FREE way to look up properties of steel sections. Featuring a simple, and intuitive interface, this app aims to get you to the sections and properties you want, as quickly as possible.
FEATURES:
- Search for shapes by property.
- Save your most frequently used shapes to the Favorites tab.
- Use the Jump Bar to quickly scroll through section groups (i.e. W10, W12, W14, etc.)
- Switch from Imperial to Metric units with a single tap.
- Formatted names and numbers are easy to read and easy to use.
- Descriptions provided for every section property.
- Symbols shown as they appear in AISC publications.
- Currently with four databases and 8,000 shapes, with more being added soon.

- Historic AISC databases including those from older LRFD and ASD manuals.
This app uses data from AISC Shape Database v14.1 and v14.1H, both of which are available free of charge from the AISC website.
